What makes you most proud about the Friedman School?
I am very proud of the Friedman School of Nutrition for many reasons. We are the only graduate and professional school of nutrition in the country and we really stand out! The research that takes place between these walls is cutting edge and highly influential. The combined science and community efforts create a very exciting environment. I am proud to be part of the Friedman community, which is making headway nationally and internationally.
Who has had the greatest impact on you at the Friedman School?
My classmates have the greatest impact on me and have shaped my academic development into a wonderful experience. Because the school has multiple tracts, I am constantly learning from my peers. This helps to enrich my knowledge of many different nutrition-related topics. I am really grateful for the plethora of information that reverberates throughout the halls.
What has been your favorite experience at the Friedman School?
My favorite experiences at Friedman are interacting with the faculty and students. Whether it is during class or a discussion or a Friedman party, people are deeply passionate about nutrition and learning from each other. I highly value these relationships and stimulating environment.
What opportunities have been made possible for you, or someone else, through the Friedman School?
The scholarship I received from Friedman made it possible for me to quit my job and dive in head first into the nutrition world. For this I am very grateful. For two years I was able to put my worries aside and focus solely on nutrition and bettering the American diet.
